For my purposes PlugSuit is vastly better than SIMBL, although I have deep appreciation for both SIMBL and PlugSuit. Another issue is that plug-ins that run on SIMBL typically reloads SIMBL so you have to be cognizant of this occurring and check to determine whether SIMBL has been reinstalled as this will lead to problems. This plugin is both misunderstood and maligned mostly by those who have not read the statement on Infinite Labs website that clearly states you must either run SIMBL of PlugSuit, but NOT bothÑyou must choose which one to use and delete the other. In other words, better status display and finer control of prefs. Also, finer control of keyboard shortcuts so as not to conflict with Butler, MercuryMover, etc.
If the author adds a menu item to tell us that PlugSuit is 'on' that might be a nice think to do. My advice is to keep a zipped copy of SIMBL in where you found it. Download app cleaner mac os x 10.5.8 for.

To disable SIMBL, go to /Library/Input Managers/ and zip up/throw SIMBL in the trash. What it should be really useful for is turning on/off such things as SafariStand, Keyword Manager and other SIMBL based plugins to isolate bugs.
